SEL Resources, Volume 3: Twiggle Learns to do Turtle

Posted by PATHS Program LLC on Mar 27, 2020 5:00:00 AM

For the past few weeks, we've been sending out resources for those who are teaching remotely in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We'll continue to send a new resource each week throughout the end of the school year to help keep your learners engaged in their social emotional learning during these difficult times.

This week's PATHS® Program resources are:

  1. Problem Solving Skills for Young Children
To help younger children to manage conflicts, share the read-aloud Twiggle Learns to do Turtle with students. To help them remember the steps to do Turtle, share a copy of the story (available in English and Spanish) from the PK/K Lesson 15 online Support Materials. You can also provide children with the Remember to do Turtle poster and Parent/Caregiver Handout.
  2. Problem Solving Skills for Older Children
For older students, remind them about the Problem Solving Steps (from Grade 3, Lesson 28, Grade 4 and 5/6, Lesson 3)  and reinforce this learning with the parent/caregiver letter (in English or Spanish). You can find additional resources in the online Support Materials.
  3. Previous Resources
To see the Feelings Journal resources we sent on 3/13, click here.
To see the Tamara Feels Worried resources we sent on 3/20, click here.
  4. Have a Question?
If you have a questions about using the PATHS® Program, you can email us here or call us at 877-71-PATHS (72847) and a member of our team will get back to you ASAP!

Thank you for your continued commitment to supporting the social and emotional development of all our children and students.
